Nucs ordered now will be available for pickup in June. Dates are approximate, and could change depending on weather. Orders are filled in the order received, so the earlier you place your order, the earlier your pickup date. As your pickup date nears we will contact you via email / phone to confirm the date. We will not refund payments to customers who fail to pickup bees they have ordered.
Our family has been successfully keeping and wintering bees in Michigan since 1984. We have established a reputation for selling high quality nucs, produced from our own bees wintered here in Michigan. Nucs (short for nucleus colony) is a fully established small starter hive. Each nuc consists of five frames of bees and a laying queen with approximately 3-4 frames of brood and 1-2 frames of honey/pollen. Each nuc comes in a plastic or cardboard nuc box that is yours to keep. We do sell out very quickly each year so get your order in ASAP. Nucs are available for pickup in Nunica, MI only. WE DO NOT SHIP NUCS!
